Introduction
Coarctation of the aorta is a form of left ventricular outflow tract obstruction and imposes an increase in afterload on the left ventricle. It is often but not necessarily found in association with a variety of other important cardiac defects. Numerous techniques have been used for coarctation repair with improving results. Although individual experience of coarctation repair from several heart centers in Korea has been reported, there is scarce information about its comprehensive trend and outcome. Hence we carried out a multicenter retrospective survey of coarctation repair.
